You need a valid Environment Agency Rod Licence if you are aged 12 or over and fish for salmon, trout, freshwater fish or eel in England (except the River Twee), Wales, and the Border Esk and and its tributaries in Scotland. If you are fishing with three or four rods (three is the maximum allowed for H&DAA night permit holders only) then you will need to purchase a second licence. You can buy your rod licence at the Environment Agency website, which also lists details of other ways to buy your rod licence. | |
