SPECIAL RULES

Island Pond is a Site of Special Scientific Interest.

No keepnets are allowed except in bona fide competitions when two are required, one of which must be carp-safe.

All hooks are to be barbless.

Members must not enter before 7am and must leave before dusk.

Night fishing is allowed for those Members with Night Permits.  Such Members must arrive at the fishery before dusk and must not leave before 7am.

Island Pond is located off the southbound carriageway of the A264 between Crawley and Faygate.

Approximately 200yds from the Bewbush roundabout heading back towards Horsham, turn left up the track marked ‘Private No Cars’, through the gate with the H&DAA lock and take the left track after the cottage.  Follow the track right up to the pond where a parking area has been created. All gates must be closed and locked.

Speed limit 10mph.

Parking is in the designated area at the end of the track beside the lake.  Cars must not park on the track.  There is additional parking as you approach the lake in an offset area to the right of the track.
